If you want to build betting software utilising the Sports API and offer it to private users then you should join the Software Vendor program
The Software Vendor license allows you to use the Betfair API to create betting applications to sell to third parties for private use. There are two different license types and a Historical Data license available:
Software Vendor LicenseSoftware Vendor - Full Access user If you wish to develop your application using the Full Access API you should sign up to the Full Access service type. Betfair will provide your application users Full API access free of charge. Please note: Software Vendor licensees are responsible for all support & communication for the users of their application(s). Software Vendor - Free Access API user If you wish to develop your application utilising the Free Access API only then you can do so free of charge. Users of applications developed by Free Access Software Vendors will have automatic access to the Free Access API provided they have an active Betfair account. Please note: Software Vendor licensees are responsible for all support & communication for the users of their application(s). There is no direct technical support available to Free Access API Vendors.
Software Vendor subscription fees:
Any distribution of Historical Betfair Data or the tools to help build a Historical Betfair Database requires a Historical Data License. ‘Historical Betfair Data’ means any Betfair trading data (such as prices and volume) that relates to a settled market. This data can be generated and distributed in a number of ways. Two examples are:
Providing live market information such as an advanced version of our Market Info graph (accessed by clicking on a selection name on our website) which is not available for interrogation after settlement is not regarded as Historical Betfair Data and comes under the terms of the Software Vendor license.Please contact us for further information. |
