In addition to the Full Access API licenses, BDP offers developers the use of the Free Access API for betting purposes. The Free Access API allows developers access to most of the Betfair API, with some limitations on the rate you can call various services.For private developers, there is no need to sign-up to the Free Access API. Just follow the guidelines below to start developing. Note that you require an active Betfair account to use the Free Access API. With no charge to access, the Free Access API product provides a subset of the Betfair API and limitations on the number of times you can call an API service per minute. The Free Access API is ideal for:Note - if you wish to access Betfair data for analysis and testing purposes (or at any time that you are not transacting on the exchange) you should make use of the Historical Data services - as listed in the App Directory - rather than the live system. Get Started The Free Access API is immediately available to anyone with an active Betfair account - there is no need to sign up or have your account 'permissioned'.
